This laboratory-based training course covers the fundamental principles and techniques of genetic manipulation of mouse embryos and ES cells for a broad range of applications, namely for creating mutant and transgenic models for biomedical research.

Laboratory work will focus on the micromanipulation of mouse embryos by pronuclear injection and ES cell delivery, genotyping of gene targeting events, and experimental design of genome alterations using the CRISPR/Cas9 system.
