EMBO | EMBL Symposium Cellular mechanisms driven by phase separation
Symposium overview
Phase separation is emerging as a common biophysical principle underlying many important cellular functions. This conference will bring together scientists from cell biology, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, developmental biology, polymer physics, and soft matter physics to study condensates in biology and disease.
The goals of this symposium are to:
increase our understanding of the physiological relevance of condensates in many biological processes
explore the large repertoire of new tools and methods that can be applied to study the phenomenon of biological condensates
provide transdisciplinary training to tackle the role of condensates in biology
