Our Members
FEBS Constituent Societies
FEBS brings together the thousands of members of national biochemistry and molecular biology societies in Europe and neighbouring regions. FEBS currently has 39 such 'Constituent Societies', comprising 35 Member Societies and 4 Associate Member Societies. A delegate from each Member Society, along with the FEBS Executive Committee, forms the FEBS Council.
Countries with a FEBS Member Society: Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
Countries with a FEBS Associate Member Society: Belarus, Moldova, Morocco and Tunisia.
As part of its overall goal of advancing the molecular life sciences, FEBS offers specific programmes of support for Constituent Society events, and support for young scientists of our Constituent Societies. Constituent Societies are also able to post news on the FEBS Network.
Joining FEBS Constituent Societies
Details about each of the Constituent Societies that make up FEBS, including links to their own websites, can be accessed from the list below. To join a FEBS Constituent Society, please contact the relevant society directly. Once you have joined a FEBS Constituent Society you are automatically a member of FEBS.
Many FEBS Constituent Societies do accept members from other countries, although note that most FEBS programmes of support for young scientists are focused on those studying or working in the FEBS area.
