‘Enhancing Molecular Bioscience Education’ workshop: March 2015
The upcoming workshop ‘Enhancing Molecular Bioscience Education’ is a joint activity of FEBS and the Biochemical Society (UK) that will take place in Cambridge, UK from 30th to 31st March 2015. The workshop – which will include lectures, demonstrations, group discussion and poster sessions – will focus on novel ideas and approaches for bioscience educators, under the themes ‘Supervision, mentoring and personal development’, ‘Alternative methods of learning’, ‘Alternative modes of delivery’ and ‘Integrated bioscience teaching across backgrounds and abilities’. Three ‘FEBS Education Workshop Young Scientist / Young Lecturer Bursaries’ are available to assist participation in this event from outside the UK. The application deadline for these has been extended to 5th January 2015. The bursaries cover the registration fee, accommodation and meals, and may contribute to travel costs. The candidates will be selected on merit, subject to the eligibility criteria set by FEBS. Full guidelines can be downloaded here.
