Call for applications for Editor-in-Chief position at FEBS Letters
FEBS is seeking to appoint a new Editor-in-Chief for its prestigious journal FEBS Letters. Launched in 1968 for the rapid publication of short reports, FEBS Letters is renowned as the journal that launched the careers of many generations of biochemists and molecular life scientists. It is now looking for a new Editor-in-Chief to build on this reputation and develop the journal in the new era of open science. FEBS Letters is one of four journals owned by FEBS and the income from these journals is used to support scientists through fellowships, courses, travel grants, prizes and other FEBS initiatives.
We are looking for an outstanding researcher with an international reputation to act as an ambassador for the journal within the scientific community. The successful candidate will develop the journal’s strategy and lead the editorial board and its editorial staff in keeping this journal relevant for future generations of biochemists and molecular life scientists.
The appointment will be for an initial term of 5 years, and the new Editor-in-Chief will be expected to have the energy and dedication to meet journal deadlines on a regular (nearly daily) basis.
