Call for 2020 FEBS Advanced Courses proposals
The FEBS Advanced Courses Committee is pleased to now invite proposals from expert scientists interested in organizing an event in 2020 with financial support from FEBS as part of next year's FEBS Advanced Courses programme. There will be two deadlines for most applications for funding of 2020 events: 1 March 2019 and 1 August 2019. However, applications to hold Joint FEBS/EMBO Lecture courses must be submitted only at the March 1, 2019 deadline.
FEBS Advanced Courses take place throughout the area of Europe and neighbouring regions on important and timely topics in the molecular life sciences – in the form of Advanced Lecture Courses, Joint FEBS/EMBO Lecture Courses, Workshops, Practical Courses, combined Practical and Lecture Courses, and Special Meetings. Most Advanced Courses in 2020 can be funded by FEBS with up to €35,000 (up to €25,000 course grant + up to €10,000 for Youth Travel Fund (YTF) grants to assist participation of young researchers); for Special Meetings the funding is €40,000 course grant + up to €15,000 for YTF grants. Arranging such an event provides organizers with great opportunities for outreach, networking and impact in their chosen field.
