The FEBS Journal launches a Science Communication competition
The FEBS Journal was launched in 1967 (as the European Journal of Biochemistry) and is 50 years old this year.
To celebrate this important milestone, we are launching a Science Communication competition, open to all, aimed at communicating a scientific concept or advance in the life sciences to the general public in written, video, cartoon or animation form.
There shall be 2 prizes of €500 each. Winning entries will be published in The FEBS Journal or hosted on The FEBS Journal homepage (video or animation).
Entries should be accessible and engaging but should also be scientifically accurate.
- Written entries should be up to 1,000 words in length.
- Animation or Video entries should be no longer than 5 minutes, but may be significantly shorter. Video/animation should not contain copyrighted material (music, film).
Entries will be judged by the Editorial Staff of The FEBS Journal.
Entries should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 1st 2017, for publication in an issue before December 2017.
