FEBS Advanced Lecture Course
Current advances in pathogen research
March 21–26, 2016
This FEBS Advanced Lecture Course has been designed to give students and all participants a deeper insight into basic knowledge of and novel developments in pathogen research. Invited speakers will present new findings on mechanisms of bacteria–host interactions, bacteria–drug interactions, identification of new pathogens, virus–host interactions, immune response to pathogens, and future perspectives in pathogen research.

Meyer (Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, Germany), Tobias Oelschlager (University of Wurzburg, Germany), Thomas Romig (Universität Hohenheim, Germany), Staffan Bensch (Lund University, Sweden), Marc Eloit (Pasteur Institute, France), Gregory Melikian (Emory University, USA), Monsef Benkirane (Institute of Human Genetics, France), Yolanda Revilla (Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa, Spain), Jean Pieters (University of Basel, Switzerland), Petr Broz (University of Basel, Switzerland), Bryce Chakerian (University of New Mexico, USA), David Bikard (Institute Pasteur, France), Zaven Karalyan (Institute of Molecular Biology, Armenia), Sarkis Mazmanian (Caltech, USA), and Mariagrazia Pizza (Novartis Vaccines, Italy).
FEBS Youth Travel Fund grants are available to assist participation of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in this course.
