Wish to organise a FEBS course or meeting? An invitation for Proposals to the FEBS Advanced Courses Committee

On behalf of the FEBS ACC, I warmly invite individuals or groups with a proven scientific track record on the course topic to organize such FEBS Courses, Workshops or Special Meetings, especially Practical Courses with strong hands-on elements in the programme.

Grants of up to a maximum of Euro 38.000 are available for Practical Courses or Combined Practical & Lecture Courses, and up to Euro 32.000 for the organization of Advanced Lecture Courses.

Funds of up to Euro 50.000 (including a special grant for small equipment) are available to organize Practical Courses in Eastern Europe. Grants of up to a maximum of Euro 50.000 are available to support FEBS Special Meetings.

FEBS Workshops on specialized topics of high scientific interest can receive a maximum support of Euro 25.000.

Finally, joint FEBS/EMBO Lecture Courses may receive a maximum support of Euro 40.000.

Organizers are encouraged to consider gender, career development as well as science & society issues in the course programmes if possible or applicable.

To be eligible for evaluation by the ACC, proposals must fully comply with our ACC Application Guidelines. More details are available here

All applicants must use the proper Application Forms available in the Download Area and submit through the Online Submission (please be advised that online submission is only possible when you are logged in as a user).

Deadlines

The deadlines for online submission are

  • March 1st (effective in 2011)
  • August 1st

in each calendar year for all courses in the following year.

Applications for FEBS Special Meetings should be submitted at least 18 months before the date of the Special Meeting.

Importantly, FEBS Special Meetings cannot be organized six weeks before or after the Annual FEBS Congress, which is usually held in the beginning of July.
