The National Committee of Biochemists and Molecular BiologistsMission and Vision The National Committee of Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (NCBMB) embraces citizens and organizations of Russia involved in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology activities. The Committee performs its activities in accordance with the Academy's Regulations and decrees as well as with Russia Constitution and legislation. The Superior Body of the Committee is a Congress, which is held every five years. The Committee authorities are the Central Council, Central Council Board, and Bureau of the Board headed by elective President. The Control authority is auditing commission. History In 2006 over the changes in the financial and organizational relationship between the Academy of Sciences and the Society of Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (SBMB) and in accordance with the Academy's decree and the Society's Central Council decision the SBMB was renamed the National Committee of Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (NCBMB). SBMB, a voluntary scientifically public organization, was founded in 1959. Key Offfers The Committee has established its 30 divisions in different regions of Russia and coordinates their activities.
